The Impact of the Geotechnical Report on Decision Making in Geotechnical Contracting

The geotechnical investigation and subsequent report is by far the most important piece of information for any geotechnical contractor in pursuit of a project. When discussing this, it is often illustrated by potential benefits that can be realized on large projects with sound and more extensive geotechnical information. But what about smaller projects and tight budgets? This presentation provides several examples where relatively small changes to the geotechnical investigation could have had a big impact on the project cost.
