The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) is hosting its 39th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, October 21-24, 2014 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, GA.
The event draws more than 600 engineers, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and academics in the deep foundations industry from around the world to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn about the current state of the practice.
The conference begins on Tuesday, October 21 with day-long meetings of DFI’s 15 technical committees. The conference officially opens on Wednesday, October 22 and features the exhibit hall with more than 100 manufacturer and supplier exhibits. Papers on projects and case studies of national and local interest will be presented by industry leaders from October 22 – October 24.
DFI’s principal awards – the Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Project Award (OPA) and C. William Bermingham Innovation Award, with its $5,000 prize – will be presented during the Award Banquet. The winners of the Young Professors Paper Competition and the Student Paper Competition will also be recognized at the dinner by the DFI Educational Trust.
