DFI announces the appointment of Carlos Englert of Schnabel Engineering as chair of DFI’s Sustainability Committee. He is succeeding Marine Lasne of Entroprose Contracting, who accepted a position on the DFI Board of Trustees.
Englert is a senior engineer at Schnabel Engineering. He has over 15 years of design and construction experience in geotechnical projects in the United States and Venezuela. He obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Catholic University of Venezuela, and a M.S. at Pennsylvania State University. Englert is a specialist in design and field supervision of pressure-injected footings, drilled shafts, micropiles, shoring, slurry walls, ground improvement, stone columns, soil nails and tiebacks. He is also a contributing member to the DFI Slurry Wall Committee.
DFI’s 16 Technical Committees focus on the unique issues of major methods and technologies within deep foundations and excavation, and keep DFI members and the industry up to date with the state of practice through publications, guidance documents, peer-review of papers, educational events and committee reports in Deep Foundations magazine.
