The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) is hosting its 40th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, October 12-15, 2015 at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, CA.
The 2015 DFI Annual Conference on Deep Foundations marks the 40th Anniversary of this event. For four decades, the conference has helped shape the future of our industry. The event is expected to draw 1,000 engineers, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and academics in the deep foundations industry from around the world to share experiences, exchange ideas and learn about the current state of the practice.
The conference will include meetings of DFI’s 16 Technical Committees and 3 Working Groups, technical sessions, networking lunches, exhibitor displays and the awards banquet.
DFI’s principal awards — the Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Project Award (OPA) and C. William Bermingham Innovation Award, with its $5,000 prize — will be presented during the Awards Banquet. The winners of the Young Professors Paper Competition and the Student Paper Competition will also be recognized at the dinner by the DFI Educational Trust. New at the 40th Annual Conference will be the DFI Educational Trust’s “Legends Program,” honoring practitioners who have made significant contributions and advancements to the research, design, construction and use of deep foundations.
Abstracts are being accepted through December 5, 2014. Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings and presented by the authors at the conference during technical sessions and through electronic poster presentations.
