Archie Manning, Football Legend: 2017 Hal Hunt Lecturer at the DFI 42nd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, New Orleans, Louisiana

Archie Manning, a renowned football player, author and public relations consultant, is delivering the 2017 Hal Hunt Lecture on Communications during the DFI 42nd Annual Conference on Deep Foundations, being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, October 24-27, 2017. His presentation is titled, “The Manning Playbook for Communication and Leadership.”

 Manning attended the University of Mississippi where he was named an All-American Quarterback and his number is retired. He was voted Mississippi’s Greatest All-Time Athlete in 1992 and was named Mississippi’s Most Popular Athlete of the Century. He was elected to the 50-Year All-South Team (1940-1990) and named one of the Top 25 Athletes of the Century in Louisiana.

 Both Manning and his son Peyton were named among the 100 All-Time Greatest College Football Players. Manning was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame and is a member of other Halls of Fame, including Louisiana and Mississippi. While in the NFL, he received numerous awards and was recognized for both his ability as a football player and his humanitarian efforts.

 The annual Hal Hunt Lecture is a highlight of the Annual Conference, and is named in honor of Hal Hunt, one of the initial organizers of DFI. The lecture was established in 1989 to recognize notable communicators. This year’s lecture is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, at 1:15 p.m.
