Registration is open for the DFI Shotcrete Short Course on September 9-11, 2019, at the historic Argo Mill in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
This 2.5-day course, hosted by DFI’s Tunneling and Underground Committee, covers engineering, mix designs, materials, equipment, ACI Codes and specifications, construction, inspection, QA/QC and field demonstrations used for civil and geotechnical, underground construction, shaft/tunnel and mining projects.
Field demonstrations include:
- Types of equipment
- Batching and mixing
- Dry and wet shotcrete applications
- Vertical and overhead spraying
- Robotic arm spraying
- EFNARC certification
The course directors are DFI members Raymond Henn, Ph.D., RW Henn, and Daniel Millette, MacLean Engineering. Henn has 44 years of experience in the heavy and tunnel/underground construction industry. Millette is a globally acknowledged expert in the field of shotcrete equipment and chemicals, as well as operator training.
This course is intended for industry professionals including owners, planners, designers, contractors, consultants and suppliers involved in the design, planning and construction of civil and geotechnical engineering underground tunneling and mining projects.
Course attendees also interested in obtaining EFNARC Nozzleman Certification can register separately for the certification program.
