The 2019-20 DFI Traveling Lecturer Willie M. NeSmith, P.E., delivered his presentation on the Application of Cast in Place Piles in Intermediate Geomaterials as a webinar.

The presentation focused on how the development of more powerful and robust installation platforms has made it feasible to install cast-in-place piles into materials once considered too resistant for the system. This lecture reviews current installation platforms and tooling and presents case histories for installation in soft limestone, partially weathered rock, shale and glacial till.
