Registration Open for DFI-COPRI New York City Ports and Engineering Seminar: Online April 14-15

February 11, 2021, Hawthorne N.J.:

Registration is open for the DFI-COPRI New York City Ports and Engineering online seminar being held April 14-15. Each day includes 4 hours of online presentations and discussion on policy, innovations and challenges in design and construction of port and coastal projects. Representatives from government organizations, engineering companies and contractors will deliver presentations on project planning, codes, environmental issues, foundation techniques and more.

The complete program is available at archive.dfi.org/COPRI-2021.

This is the third time that DFI’s Marine Foundations Committee and COPRI-Metropolitan Section in New York have joined forces to deliver a seminar on ports and marine engineering. The collaboration is intended to bridge a technical connection between the two organizations. DFI member companies are a great foundation resource for the design and construction of ports.

COPRI (The Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute) is a semi-autonomous institute of the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers). COPRI serves as a multidisciplinary and international leader in improving knowledge, education, development and the practice of civil engineering and other disciplines in the sustainable management of coastal, ocean, port, waterways, riverine and wetlands resources for the benefit of society.

DFI’s Marine Foundations Committee is comprised of industry-wide professionals who promote and support the design, construction and equipment supply for marine foundation projects such as wharfs, bridges, locks, utility line towers, sewer outfalls, tunnels and other related structures.
