Eijkelkamp North America – Sonic Drilling: what does it have to offer?

While sonic drilling can no longer be designated as a new technique, to many drilling companies and clients it is still an unfamiliar drilling method and as a result it is underutilized.  For while it is not better than conventional drilling in every respect, sonic drilling has distinct advantages.  In this presentation these advantages will illustrated to create a better understanding of this drilling technique.  The presentation will also highlight specific applications where sonic drilling is the preferred technique (such as working on levees and dams, as recognized by the US Army Corps of Engineers), and will finally address the limitations of this technique to provide a good overview of this exciting approach to drilling.
