The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) is issuing a call for papers for The DFI Journal,
a peer-reviewed publication of practice-oriented, high quality papers related to the broad area of deep foundations engineering. The DFI Journal is in its seventh year of publication.
Original papers are welcome on topics of interest to the geo-professional community related to all systems designed and constructed for the support of heavy structures and excavations including different piling systems, drilled shafts, slurry walls, ground improvement systems, soil mixing, soil nailing and anchors. Authors are also encouraged to submit papers on new and emerging topics related to innovative construction technologies, marine foundations, retaining systems, cutoff wall systems, and seismic retrofit.Case studies involving foundation systems with technical data support are encouraged. Other principal types of papers include practice-oriented papers, opinion papers, technical notes, discussions and book reviews.
Full draft papers up to 20 pages in length (after formatting) can be submitted to www.edmgr.com/dfi for review. The DFI Journal Editorial Board reviews submitted papers and contacts authors whose papers are being considered for publication in current or future editions of the DFI Journal; arranging full reviews and edits in order to complete their final paper. Authors of papers accepted for publication are required to sign a copyright license agreement.
