The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently appointed a new board member.
Andrew C. Verity was elected to serve a two-year term on the DFI Educational Trust Board of Trustees. Verity is currently a national account manager with Terracon Consultants in Dallas, Texas. After earning his degree in civil engineering from the University of London, Verity began his career with The Reinforced Earth in Paris. He then moved into geotechnical consultation, working on projects throughout Europe. His focus was primarily on rail projects, such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the Dublin Port Tunnel. In 2010, Verity moved to the U.S. and joined Gerdau, where he promoted the use of sheet piling. Verity was the chair of the DFI Driven Pile Committee from 2013 to 2016.
