Deep Foundations Institute of India (DFI of India), in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar and Indian Geotechnical Society Ahmedabad Chapter, will host DFI-India 2018: 8thConference on Deep Foundations Technologies for Infrastructure Development in India on November 15-17, 2018, at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. This two-day conference follows seven successful DFI of India annual conferences starting in 2011.
India is preparing to invest close to INR 48.5 Lakh Crores (~USD750Bn) over the next five years in infrastructure projects for railways, highways, ports, metro rail, airports, energy, irrigation, water supply, urban transport and housing sectors. The conference is a common platform for all stakeholders in the deep foundations industry to present, deliberate and debate case studies and the challenges facing India’s geotechnical works for infrastructure projects. Presentations will showcase proactive solutions that optimize performance of deep foundations for various infrastructure projects by achieving enhanced time and cost efficiency, higher quality and safety.
The program will highlight recommended project and contract management practices to identify and mitigate risk through the use of modern methods, tools, and data acquisition. A one-day workshop will precede the conference. Visit archive.dfi.org/india2018 for more information.
