More than 550 deep foundation professionals attended SuperPile ’18 on June 27-29, 2018, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City.
This conference, hosted by DFI in partnership with ADSC, was supported by 10 DFI Technical Committees: Augered Cast-in-Place Piles, Drilled Shafts, Driven Piles, Ground Improvement, Helical Piles and Tiebacks, Marine Foundations, Micropiles, Seismic and Lateral Loads, Testing and Evaluation, and Women in Deep Foundations.
The event featured 45 technical presentations on all aspects of pile design and construction with a focus on incorporating safety and risk practices throughout project delivery, nearly 90 exhibits of innovative technologies and services, committee and working group meetings, and networking events.
Highlights of SuperPile ’18 included a keynote address by Jerry DiMaggio, P.E., D.GE, of Applied Research Associates, Inc., on Risk in Geoconstruction and Geoengineeringst Century Concrete Specifications.
