February 10, 2022, Hawthorne, NJ: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently appointed Tom Richards and Thad Tobaben to the Board of Trustees to serve two-year terms.

February 2, 2022, Hawthorne, NJ: DFI announces that Matthew Glisson, P.E., is joining the institute as the director of technical activities, starting February 14. In this role, he will liaise with the technical committee chairs to ensure that DFI’s technical programs are high quality, accurate and relevant to current industry practice and needs. These programs include committee research, publications, conference and seminar content, as well as speaker/paper solicitation. Glisson will also identify new collaborative opportunities in the deep foundations industry.

January 31, 2022, Hawthorne, NJ: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently awarded nine scholarships to students pursuing careers in civil and geotechnical engineering.

Tamaro Manhattan College Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund.

January 5, 2022, Hawthorne, N.J.: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) announces Scott A. Jacobs, P.E., of Keller, is the new co-chair of the Working Platforms Industry-Wide Working Group. He joins co-chair, Terence Holman, Ph.D., P.E., Geosyntec Consultants, and takes over for Paul Gildea, P.E., Langan Engineering and Environmental Services.

December 14, 2021, Hawthorne, N.J.: DFI and the DFI Educational Trust announce that the Call for Papers is open for the annual Student Paper Competition and Young Professor Paper Competition. The due date for abstract submissions is January 14, 2022.

December 14, 2021, Hawthorne, N.J.: Abstracts are being accepted until January 14 for original technical papers and panel sessions for the DFI’s 47th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations (#DFI47), being held October 4-7, 2022, in National Harbor, Maryland.
