DFI is accepting nominations for its 2024 awards and lectures, which showcase and celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals, teams and companies in the deep foundations industry.

Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently awarded scholarships from the Stanley Merjan City College of New York (CCNY) Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund and the George J. Tamaro Manhattan College Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund.

August 16, 2023, Hawthorne, N.J.: DFI Educational Trust has awarded five Women in Deep Foundations (WiDF) Professional Development Grants of $1,750 each to women working in the deep foundations industry. The recipients are invited to attend DFI’s 48th Annual Conference in Seattle, October 31-November 3. The grant includes complimentary conference registration and covers related expenses for attending the conference.

August 14, 2023, Hawthorne, N.J.: The DFI Educational Trust awarded $102,000 in scholarships this spring to 32 exceptional students preparing for a career in the civil engineering and construction management fields. More scholarships will be awarded in the fall, thanks to the generosity of many donors and fundraising event participants and sponsors.

June 27, 2023, Hawthorne, N.J.: The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, announces the establishment of the M. Byrl and Frances M. Williams Fund. The fund was established with a generous donation of $25,000 from Byrl and Frances Williams.

April 21, 2023, Hawthorne, N.J.: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, has appointed Jim Glider of Malcolm Drilling Company to the Board of Trustees. He is serving as a trustee for the period January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024.

January 9, 2023, Hawthorne, N.J.: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently awarded 15 scholarships totaling $50,000 to students pursuing careers in civil and geotechnical engineering.

November 15, 2022, Hawthorne, N.J.: Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) Educational Trust, the charitable arm of DFI, recently awarded scholarships from the Stanley Merjan City College of New York (CCNY) Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund and the George J. Tamaro Manhattan College Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund. The students were recognized at the 15th DFI Educational Trust Gala in New York on November 3.

October 28, 2022, Hawthorne, N.J.: DFI President Michael Wysockey, Ph.D., P.E., presented three President’s Awards at a luncheon during the DFI 47th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations in National Harbor on October 6.

October 17, 2022, Hawthorne, N.J.: Abstracts are being accepted until Friday, January 13, for original technical papers and panel sessions for DFI’s 48th Annual Conference on Deep Foundations(#DFI48), being held October 31-November 3, 2023, in Seattle.
