The Fourth International Symposium on Frontiers in Offshore Geotechnics (ISFOG) followed the previous symposiums in Oslo, Norway (2015) and Perth, Australia (2010 and 2005). DFI and Geo-Institute of ASCE managed the event under the auspices of ISSMGE Technical Committee 209 on Offshore Geotechnics. The symposium featured the fifth McClelland Lecture and strived to continue providing a specialist forum for practitioners and academics to share solutions and new ideas that address the dynamic challenges of working in offshore design and installation. ISFOG 2020 highlighted emerging technologies related to data science and emphasized the recent surges in offshore renewables development in the United States and globally.
