What members are saying about DFI

“Many professional societies focus primarily on the interests of only engineers or only contractors. DFI provides a forum for engineers, equipment manufacturers and contractors to interact within the same professional organization. As a result, DFI provides unique professional development and networking opportunities that do not exist in other professional societies.”

Thomas Weaver, Ph.D., P.E.
Office of Research, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

“DFI assists owners in keeping abreast of the latest in technology, particularly with the qualification of technology from model scale research to prototype field application, through state-of-practice articles, case histories published in the DFI magazine and DFI Journal. Owners are generally risk averse, and therefore are more interested in a new technology whose application has been tested in the field over one that is still under research in laboratory. DFI papers are generally practice oriented.”
